Dear session chair,
Thank you for participating as a session chair in the upcoming ICCNMI 2021 digital event! Please find all information on what is expected from the chairs below.
The role of the chair
All speakers have pre-recorded their presentations and are asked to join a live Q&A session via Zoom right after their presentation has been broadcasted. The majority of speakers has confirmed to do this (despite the time difference between countries). The role of the chair is to:
- Welcome the speakers in the Zoom session
- Keep an eye on the live chat to see if participants have any questions for the speaker
- Asking questions to the speaker
- Introducing the next speaker and presentation (a short biography is available)
Zoom meeting for chairs & speakers
Please find the timing of your session in the overview (click the button below). All times are in Central European Summer Time (CEST). Each stream has its own Zoom meeting that runs the full day, especially for chairs and speakers. We will send you the link to this meeting a few days prior to the meeting. You are requested to join the Zoom meeting at least 15 minutes before the start of the session. Our technician will check your sound and might give you some tips to improve the quality of your video. Please note that you will have plenty of time to prepare the Q&A session with the speaker, as you will be both in the Zoom meeting and the participants (audience) is watching the pre-recorded presentation at that moment. In case a speaker is not present to answer questions, you are requested to go into the main questions of participants or comment on the presentation in general.
Thank you in advance for joining our team and making the ICCNMI 2021 a success! If you have any questions or need help, please contact the conference secretariat.
